Lots of people in one room. Talking. Conversing. Laughing. A sneaky mumbled curse-word or 2 in Spanish. Lots of Spanish. In the room. Outside. In the neighborhood. Heard from the window.  Food. Lots of tasty food. And offering. The offering of: food, hugs, and kisses. Lots of people in one room.

p.s. I saw my best friend’s parents yesterday, as Joseph and I were helping her family adjust the XL-twin size bed to its original level. It’s about that time again where all college students must rearrange the rooms as they were found back in August, and get to packing up for the summer. It was a pleasure seeing her parents and sister, as always. They’re lovely people, and were definitely a reminder of what I have to look forward to at home.
