Even though I was born and raised in the Bronx, I often fail to realize that there’s beauty beyond the ghetto(s). I often fail to realize that there’s even beauty within the ghettos. I often fail to explore the Bronx in all that it has to offer. And that must change, for it is in fact, my home.

p.s. Yesterday my family and I rode our bikes across the Bronx River Parkway and it was so lovely! Bike riding is always a good time, especially with my mom and brother (my biking partners). We immersed in the wild and beauty of The Bronx-the mini-waterfalls, the countless bridges, the ducks and the geese. You name it. So, here’s the BX-for being the BX.

  1. We can become so accustomed to our surroundings that we fail to take it all in! I live in a fairy small city in Texas, and I’m still surprised by all of the things it has to offer! It’s great to step back and explore your hometown in ways you never have before. 🙂
