The cars that zoomed, too

The buildings that soared, but never moved

The sounds that strummed a combination of tunes without trying

The people that zoomed,

that soared,

that strummed

made this city

But the stars

called lights

ultimately led

to this city

New York, New York

p.s. Yesterday I saw an awesome poem about New York called “Lady Liberty” written by Nathalie Handal on the train. It reminded me of what makes New York, New York. So here’s to the stars called lights that lead and make this city home!
