Is abortion considered pro-choice if the conditions around her don’t even allow her to make her own damn choice?

The state won’t help fund it.

The laws allow doctors to deny it.

The clinics that are available are limited and some, way too far to have access to.

The doctors have to tell her the sex of fetus, how old, and remind her that there’s no turning back.

And the pro-life activists? They lurk in person and in signs, like an omnipresence.

Is abortion considered pro-choice if the conditions around her don’t even allow her to make her own damn choice?

p.s. I read a feature in Harper’s magazine called With Child, and it was so beautifully written  with stats, facts, and narrative. Throughout the article, I just couldn’t believe how some states truly make it difficult for a person to abort–no matter the reason. I was unaware that there were so many rules for a person who is suppose to have control over her own body. It made me question a lot, including wether Donald Trump will soften his stance on it. Hmmm. So, here’s to opening up one’s mind–no matter the reason!
