The time there was a water bug in the train cart jumping from someone’s shoulder to the next for 3.5 minutes (96th to 72nd street). The time there was a rat running, scuttering across the train cart between limbs. The time there was really loud singing until someone gave the man money. The time there was someone playing 3 keys on the piano for money. The time there were young men selling candy, dancing, and playing drums like no tomorrow. The time there was an old man talking about God.
p.s. On Thursday, some NPCTV members and I talked about our train ride experiences back home. We totally got side-tracked from producing our content, but I won’t ever forget how much we laughed together. Here’s to reminscing on our train rides! New York wouldn’t be New York without those train rides.
