among men is uncomfortable most times. Society perceives men as unfazed by anything. Their exterior is too tough to tear. And so saying “I love you” man to man, from one friend to another, does not happen often. But when it does, it means a lot. And when it does, it means that these friends are more like brothers. And being family makes saying “I love you” easy. It’s natural, as it should be.
p.s. Yesterday, my dad’s friend, aka Puba, sent a thank you to the group of guys who helped make his birthday special. He said something along the lines of what I wrote above, and that must mean he had an amazing time. Good for him. Here’s to saying “I love you.” Anytime, any place, with just the right people.
