We both bought cereal, milk, and other snacks from the main dining hall.

We both bought these things at different times on the same day.

We bought these things now, so that we wouldn’t have to worry about them over the weekend.

We bought them as a “surprise.”

But we didn’t know that we had both bought the same things on the same day until we called each other.

That’s how you know you’re “married.”

p.s. This happened to Joseph and I on Friday. We both thought of buying food for the dorm, but didn’t tell each other so it would be a surprise–only to find out that we had thought of the same surprise. Here’s to knowing!
