Hello Beautiful People!
My name is Dynahlee S. Padilla (pronounced: Die Nah Lee), and I am a freshman at State University of New York at New Paltz who plans to study Journalism. I would love to make a living out of writing because I believe that writing is often overlooked as a career choice, and ultimately, I would like to change that. Writing has always been an outlet for me, especially when given the opportunity to share my pieces with an audience who could identify. I aspire to inspire others, just the way people, experiences, books, songs, movies, and the world itself has inspired me to continue writing prose and poetry. This blog site is all about my takeaway from each day-what I’ve learned, what I’ve observed, what I’ve enjoyed, and everything else in between.
I have an amazing family of 5: my adoring mother, Michelle, my charming father, Raul, my young and fun sister, Katelynn, and my adorable baby brother, Jaden, plus, weird me, of course. Also, my significant other’s name is Joseph, and he’s just so awesome. I really appreciate them all so much. So, my eternal grattitude goes to: to mother, Michelle, for her undivided attention and ear, her patience with me and my strange attitude, and her total appreciation of all my works since the very beginning. To my dad for picking at my brain with his quotes and essential advice about anything and everything. To my fiancé for asking me questions that I never thought would have had a definite answer, until I began to reflect and write. To my little brother and sister for somehow making their way into my life and thoughts every day. Also, thanks to Stephen Chbosky and Ellen Hopkins for exposing me to new ways of writing, perceiving, and retelling what needs to be told, to and for others, not just to and for myself. And, most importantly, thank you, Charlie, my friend. All these people make me, me!

p.s.s. Blog post #140 something (sorry I lost count since my other blog post went…(Ka-bloom).
